Tyler Christie is Managing Director for Decarbonization Partners, a BlackRock and Temasek JV that invests in the next generation of innovative decarbonization solutions and businesses to accelerate global efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Tyler has been an investor, entrepreneur and advisor focus on climate change for over 20 years. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2022, he was an investor and advisor at EQT focused on venture and growth stage climate technology investments. Tyler also co-founded and ran Natural Capital Advisors investing in 15+ climate technology startups and funds, advising global organizations on sustainability, and serving as interim executive for numerous growth technology firms. He also co-founded Parla, a digital startup recently acquired by Holland & Barrett. Previously Tyler was Chief Executive Officer of AMEE, a venture-backed climate data company, which he led through fundraising, growth and strategic exit. He joined AMEE from Amadeus Capital Partners where he focused on early-stage climate tech investing. Tyler started his career as a data scientist using satellite imagery to measure and monitor land use and climate change working across Africa, Latin America and Asia for Conservation International. Tyler holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Geography from Middlebury College.
