Kash Burchett is an energy economist with over 15 years’ experience in the energy-climate space. In his current role, Kash heads up HSBC’s activities in the carbon management value chain, covering CO2 capture, removal, transportation, utilization and storage. In the past he has covered energy supply and demand fundamentals at BP and worked in corporate strategy at French utility, EDF. He has also worked in various consulting roles where he advised corporates and governments on long term energy strategy. Kash has lectured at UCL and SOAS on low carbon energy policy, with a focus on decarbonizing heavy industry.
